Mission:

To enhance the quality of life for present and future generations by sharing in the responsibilities of promoting quality customer service and positive coordination with other city departments and outside agencies.

Our Department is responsible for a number of functions including:

  • Administration of all municipal elections
  • Certification and keeping of all official city documents and records
  • Administrative support for City Council and Mayor
  • Human Resources

The City Recorder:

Acts as the compliance officer for state and local statutes including the Government Record Access Management Act (GRAMA) and the Open & Public Meeting Act.  Records and Noticing Management, City Council Meetings and Minutes, Contract Support and Administration.  Is the custodian of the City Seal, has oversight of the adoption and publication of the City's Municipal Code, and provides responsible and complex administrative support to the Mayor and City Council.  Serves as the City's Election Official and Human Resource Director
